What to have ready so the call actually pays off
You have booked a 30-minute diagnostic call. There is nothing you must prepare, but if you have these things at hand we will come out of the conversation with a much sharper proposal.
Seven things worth having at hand
Tick what you already have. The list is saved in your browser so you can come back to it.
How the call will go
Thirty minutes by video call, no sales pitch. Three roughly equal blocks.
You tell me about the task, who does it and what you would like to happen. If you have the example at hand, we look at it on screen.
The ones below, plus whatever comes up. They tell me whether it can be automated as is or something needs tidying first.
I tell you where I would start, with which tool, roughly how long it would take and what the next steps are.
Afterwards you receive a written proposal with scope, timeline and a fixed price. You decide with no pressure: there is no sales follow-up if you do not reply.
The questions I will ask
So nothing catches you off guard. You do not need every answer; a moment’s thought is enough.
- Which task eats the most time, and how is it done today, step by step?
- How often is it done, how long does it take and who does it?
- What happens when it goes wrong or arrives late? Who is affected?
- Where does the data come from and in what format?
- Which tools do you already use, and which ones do you not want to change?
- How would we know, three months from now, that the project has worked?
