Power BI for small business: one dashboard your team checks every morning

I design and build Power BI dashboards end to end: I connect your sources (ERP, Excel, SQL), build the data model and the DAX measures, and deliver a clear report that answers the questions you currently spend hours answering.

  • I connect your ERP, your spreadsheets and your databases
  • Documented data model and DAX measures
  • Your team trained to maintain it without depending on me

Does any of this sound familiar?

These are the situations people call me about. If you recognise one, there are hours to be won back.

The management report is assembled by hand every month

Someone exports, copies, pastes and checks. By the time it reaches the meeting the numbers are two weeks old and nobody fully trusts them.

Every department has its own figure

Sales says one thing, finance another. More time goes into arguing about which number is right than into deciding with it.

Problems show up when it is already too late

A customer who stops buying, a margin that slips, stock that balloons: you find out at month end, not while it is happening.

Power BI is already licensed, but nobody uses it

You have the licences and a report someone started, but nobody trusts it or knows how to maintain it.

What you get

No slide decks: concrete deliverables your team uses from day one.

Clean data model

Fact and dimension tables, correct relationships and a single definition of every KPI for the whole company.

Documented DAX measures

Every figure has its formula explained: margin, variance against target, year-to-date, comparison with the previous year.

Executive and operational dashboards

One view for management (what is happening) and views per area for the people who have to act (why it happens and where).

Automatic refresh

Scheduled refresh in Power BI Service: the data updates on its own, with no exporting or uploading files.

Alerts and subscriptions

Notifications when a KPI leaves its range and scheduled delivery of the report by email to whoever needs it.

Training and handover

A session with your team, documentation of the model and 30 days of support after delivery.

A real case

The pattern repeats in almost every project: the process stays the same, it just stops being done by hand.

Universae · Education

From several databases to a single source of truth

Before

Academic and management information lived in several different sources. Every report meant cross-referencing manual extracts, and nobody had the full picture of the business.

After

ETL processes that consolidate the sources and Power BI dashboards for academic management. A single source of truth for decisions, updated without manual intervention.

How I work

No six-figure projects or long commitments: we start small and measurable.

Step 1

Free diagnostic call

A 30-minute video call: you walk me through the process and I tell you whether it makes sense, how I would approach it and what it would cost.

Step 2

Fixed-price pilot

A first, well-scoped project with a fixed price agreed up front and a result you can measure.

Step 3

Delivery, training and support

Everything documented and your team trained to maintain it. 30 days of support for questions and adjustments.

What does assembling that report by hand cost you today?

Think of the report prepared for management or for the weekly meeting. Move the sliders and see what it costs per year. No sign-up.

4

1 = monthly · 4 = weekly · 20 = every working day

4 h

Include checking, fixing and sending. It is usually more than it seems.

€30

Cost to the company, not net salary. An admin role is around €18–25; a manager, €40–60.

I’ll send you this detailed calculation plus the checklist “10 signs your Excel has outgrown itself” as a PDF.

No spam. One email with the report and, a few days later, one more. That’s all.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need Power BI licences?
To publish and share reports with your team you need Power BI Pro, which Microsoft charges per user per month (around €10). To get started and validate the model you can work with Power BI Desktop, which is free. I will advise you on the most economical option for your case.
Which data sources can you work with?
Excel, CSV, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, APIs and most ERPs with an export or database access (Sage, Odoo, Dynamics, SAP Business One and similar). If your data lives somewhere, it can be connected.
What if we already have reports in Power BI?
I review them and tell you what can be reused. Very often the problem is in the data model, not in the charts, and fixing it is faster and cheaper than starting from scratch.
How long does it take and how much does it cost?
A first useful dashboard is usually ready in 2–3 weeks. The price is fixed and agreed after the free diagnostic call, depending on the sources to connect and the views to build. No hidden hours, no surprises.

The next step is a conversation

Which business question would you like to answer in one click?

Tell me about it in a free 30-minute diagnostic call. I will tell you which data is needed, how long it would take and what it would cost. No obligation.
